How shoud I quit my job?

Wow. Things are starting too look up. I may actually be getting out of this hell hole since I just had my third interview with a great company.

I have posted previously, "My boss is a Wiener" and the
classic "I am God" post. Well, it really has not gotten
much better here. Man, perception is everything. I have
made an effort to just grin a bear it around here. Just
nod my head up and down at whatever my evil, soon to be
ex boss says. All the while doing the minimum of my job
and now I am see as cooperative.

I think my boss, like most has confused submission with cooperation :)

Oh well. This was a learning experience coming from the
corporate cube to a small company.

I have actually dreamed of ways to quit my job. Mostly,
just not giving them any notice and submitting my "Life
at blog so they could see in
writing all the crap from the porn to the general bully mentality around here.

But now I think I will just go away quitly. It has only
been 9 months out of my life so I just want to move on.

I may leave him a bottle of mustard when I leave. Ha, I
just remembered one of the techs tell me to leave a can
of PAM because they see him as made out of teflon. This
guys time will come, my only regreat will be that I can
not watch him flame out.

ladder schmadder's right. Don't burn the bridge, but be honest in the exit interview (if you get one). Be careful about blogging. That's why this site is good, it's a layer of protection of your identity. Anyway, yeah as much as it would feel great to let loose, going quietly is your best bet. Though I did like the quitting post on here about the guy who brought in Krispy Kremes for all the people he liked there and then then quit in the middle of a meeting. The title was something about the Twiglight Zone.

Hey Thanks! It's nice to be recognized for something in life. That was me that quit like that. I haven't lived to regret it yet, but people have since told me that after I left that day, they secretly wondered if there was exLax or poison in the Krispy Kremes. HA! I'm not that clever... ;-)

I agree: quietly. Why make an enemy or an adversary? By the very fact you thought to ask, you are probably above all the vindictive nonsense that won't help your career anyway. Good for you for understanding the power of restraint. You helped me today, too. Thanks.

Be careful of stepping on anyone, especially, those with money, power and connections. It could seriously come back to haunt you one day. That's the obvious one. Then for what it's worth, you could end up kissing a co-worker's butt one day, too, so money, power and connections aren't your only consideration. You have to be so careful of whom you step on in business.

Congrats on finding something better. It really does make the current situation easier to brave sometimes.

I agree. No need to burn bridges even if the bridge is made out of crap to begin with. Be the bigger person and just leave . If they offer you an exit interview, be polite but honest! You may end up helping the other poor b*stards that still work there. Good luck with the rest of your interview process!
