This is why people think I am the boss from hell:
I expect my employees to:
1.come to work on time. Get it, Sleepy?
2.do their job assignments and be honest when they cannot
3.stop gossiping about their coworkers and setting them up to look inept.
4.acquire some manners. Use a tissue, Sneezy.
5.knock off destructive one-upmanship;jealously does not belong on the job. (Proud of being a *itch to the people you spend five days a week with? Gee, Doc, could THAT be why they get you back...behind your back?)
6.care about the quality of their work as much as they care about the pay of others. Snap out of it, Happy *ss.
7.stop acting like children and thinking they have to have their own way about really stupid stuff.
8. stop blaming everyone and just work together to improve the task outcome.
9.cease the notion that an employer is like Santa Claus and is responsible for everyone's happiness. Get over yourself, Grumpy.
10. remember I have a job too. Sometimes that means I get rid of slackers, liars, thieves, sneaks, and abusers. No, I don't have a choice when your urine test comes back with positive drug results, Dopey!

> 9.cease the notion that an employer is like Santa Claus and is responsible for everyone's happiness. < If THAT'S going to happen you manager types have to stop thinking of your employees as ELVES.

Yeah, I am having a bad week: I don't think of my employees as elves, either. This week they are being nasty to each other and me because of anxiety and fear they will lose their jobs. Why?I had to let an employee go that really needed the job's income because of a drug test (two, actually). And I can't say anything to explain the discharge to this person's coworkers. That would be unethical and illegal. Am I mighty? Sure, and you probably are, too. I unloaded and feel much better. Mighty strange, isn't it? And I love this website.

It sounds like you've watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarves way too many times!

You sound like a real human being. People who constantly back-stab others want to turn the workplace into their person theatre of pain-at the expense of everyone else. TIME FOR UNIVERSAL ZERO TOLERANCE OF THIS CRAP!

Geez...sounds like you need to snap out of it Oh-Mighty-Director! Having a bad day are we?
