I worked at a sub shop when I was 17. The owners wife worked in the kitchen with us preparing all the detailed items while we made subs. I had had enough of her shallow gossip one day and just before my shift ended I said "Marylin I won't be coming into work tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that....so basically I guess you could say I am quitting", and then I grabed my coat and left. It was an awesome, liberating feeling!
