Labyrinthitis induced vertigo - sounds terrible...stay home!

One word... Vertigo.

It's something that can last as many days as you need it to and can intermittently reoccur throughout your life for those days when you just don't feel like coming in. And it's not something that has lingering symptoms that you need for proof like a cold or flu does. The next day it is perfectly right to be your old self again when you finally do come into work. It stinks for people who really have it so hopefully you won't wish it on yourself by using it as an excuse, but it can be a convenient one. If you want to say you talked to a doctor you can say he told you that you had Labyrinthitis induced Vertigo which is basically an inner ear infection (which really can cause vertigo) My advice though...don't be a dummy, look it up online first before you claim it.

What if they want a doctor's note? And you cannot come back and work without it?
