Please excuse my "outbreak"

This works! This may be elaborate, but perhaps you are desperate... About a week before you want to take off, start coming to work with bandaids on different visible parts of your body. Start with one and then add one here and there. Don't get too creative because you'll shoot yourself in the foot...three or four usually work best. Maybe one on the forehead, one on the neck or collar bone and then one or two on a hand and an arm. Anyway...people WILL notice. Then the day you call in sick say that you've had an outbreak of "some kind" that has gotten out of control. This should get you off the hook for a few days. It is good to do on a Wednesday and then by Monday it is natural to think it "cleared up" but you can keep a bandaid on that Monday if you want things to look on the "up and up". This is a perfect ploy because it is reusable. Every now and them you can have an outbreak and people just come to expect it and maybe even feel sorry for you. The only thing is...don't expect to be able to date anybody at the office!!!
