I used to work in a podiatrist's office when I was in college. Part of my job was to administer ultrasound to people's feet. This meant they would sit back in a chair and prop their feet up about a foot from my lap while I rubbed gel all over the buttoms of their feet and massaged the soles of the feet with the ultrasound wand thing. NOT my finest hours by any means...but I was young and needed the money and it paid much better than McDonald's. Anyway I had two patients from hell. One was a dirty old man who would sit and wiggle his toes and wink while I had to sit there and administer ultrasound to this man's feet! How degrading! The second one was a smart ass chauvanistic man who would sit back and rant about how I was only going to college to meet a man and get married and that I would never even use my education and who was I kidding... "You watch and see" he used to say... UGH! Again...I had to sit and listen to this crap while I was working on his feet!! The ultimate in embarrasment. I was young and not bold enough to ever say anything. I guess it was a character builder but still today I wish I would have accidentally broken a toe off!!
