I CARE about my people, even if I don't know their names

In a meeting this afternoon announcing important changes in the organizational reporting structure the head guy was making announcements of who will be the new bosses. As he is making the announcement and rattling off the names of the new bosses he gets to one poor guy's name and says, "Roger...ummmm...Roger...uh...I have a tough time with his last name so I will just call him Roger X" and moves right along down the list.
NICE. Tell us again how much people matter.
I think people were too shocked and scared to laugh.
