I am writing this on behalf of my daughter and the other young people...whose lives and reputations are being damaged by Quizno's franchise owner...location-Main St. Nashua,N.H.!! This disgusting individual offers info. to prospective "Employers"...Employment Security...rendering them unemployable and unable to collect due benefits!! When we went to file for an appeal at E.S.Office, we found that a 19 yr.old w/4mos emp.status...wrote the cause for dismisal statement!! My daughter was employed there 3 yrs,and was Day Mgr.!! She took 4 days off(approved 1 mo. in advance),returnsd,and immediately dismissed!!Prior this had not taken any time off!! After many attempts to lodge complaints w/Laboor Comission,and Quizno's Corporate,I find myself doing this!!N.H. is an 'at will' ,State...Employers do not a reason to terminate!Quizno's Corporate does not regulate franchise holders,nor do they hold any regard ,whatsoever,for the peoples that work there!!

dontask (08/27/2010) This is truly disgusting. Even N.H. has become an 'At Will State'! If your daughter saved email/written communications of her approved vacation she should submit good copies as proof to your local labor office(whatever their initials might be) At least she will be able to collect unemployment. One of my employers insisted that I had left my job without notice. This after years of faithful service and many doctors notes documenting a sever work injury. Needing a few vacation days seems to be another reason to terminate. ( so does any change in an employee's life such as change of address, buying a car, a birthday, pregnancy, birth, death or illness in the family, whatever) All Quizno's franchises seem to have folded in my immediate area. One of the convenience stores employed similar tactics before going bankrupt. The franchisers accused their employees of theft and threatened them and their families to pay up or they would go to jail. I am not sure what you mean by employers... employment security. Badmouthing employees for no reason is illegal in most states.
