Ding dong the boss is gone By twiz

For almost two years I had to live in the shadows of my boss. He was the type that had to have everything done his way. Any idea I would offer up was always contended, and never followed up on. I started my job there full of spirit and ideas... after two years I had lost all motivation to help contribute and I was just a worker bee.

Well that all changed recently when my boss was let go. At first I thought life was not going to change much since the new boss was a bit of a kook as well. But as the months have gone by, I've realized management is now giving me the freedom I need to make a difference. Ideas I've had for years to help improve things are now getting some attention, and they are letting me run with them!

I'm enjoying my work much more, and actually do better work. It is pretty amazing how one person could bring down the whole team for so long... and how the elimination of that one person helped turn an entire team around for the better!

Thank you gods of firing crappy bosses... you have done me a favor I will not forget! =)

That is a great story. I always try to remind myself it's the person right over you who can make or break your job - not the president or the company philosophy. Sounds like it is your turn - go for it!
