Labor ready favoritism

I go to labor ready each day to try to get some work but if you are not a friend of the person giving out the jobs, you just there and wait and get no work it does not matter if you are the first person on the list, if they don't like you then they will call people at home or pass your name on list. If you ask why you are passed up for a job they tell you this lie of best match dispatch.

I figure thats how they get away with playing favorites when it comes to giving out jobs.

Anyway I am planning on getting a full time job so that I wont have be wasting my time at labor ready.

... and you think that having a full-time job will change things (other than getting paid)??? If you are here on this board for a while you will realize that other getting paid there is no difference - only that you will get all the cr@ppy assignments and the ones getting promoted or softball tasks are the favorites as well! Sorry to burst your bubble!

If you can get a permanent job your situation will improve. Favortism does exist in most jobs even permanant ones. There is no comparison, it is much more difficult when you are temping. What makes it worse is that you have to make those earnings stretch for an undetermined amount of time. I hope your situation makes you determined to get a permanent job. Good Luck.
