A Socialite's Life

Website: www.socialitelife.com ( New design not yet released )
Platform: Drupal
Client: Fameish Media
Project Tags: Design , Development , Branding , SEO

A Socialite's Life is a major celebrity gossip blog that gets over 5 Million visitors a month and has been featured by Page Six, BBC, Washington Post, NY Metro, VH1, Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, NY Daily News, Oxygen, USAToday.com, and The Village Voice. It was also #8 in Yahoo's top blog searches for 2006!

The well established version of A Socialite's Life ran on Movable Type. However, it was time to move the site to a new Drupal based platform so that it could become part of the Famesters Network and be completely integrated with Famesters user profiles and take advantage of Single Sign On between Famesters and it's existing network of blog sites. It was also time to expand the functionality and add some cool new features to the site!

Since, A Socialite's Life is a content heavy site that needs to support multiple editors, advanced image galleries and other special content features, Hulaweb worked in close contact with our client to make sure that all the functionality they were used to in Movable Type was duplicated in the new version. It was important to us that the owner and the editors of the site feel right at home. We even added some features that made their job even easier.

From the client:

And really thanks for everything. I couldn't have done what we're doing now without you! I truly mean it. You've been such a pleasure to work with - it's been an amazing experience.
