Aggrex was a site that Hulaweb built from scratch. It allowed its users to aggregate RSS feeds. A very complex and cutting edge site on the inside, it needed a simple interface on the outside. The client wanted a simple logo that was similar in design to Google's.
We used Java/JSP technology to take advantage of the built-in RSS modules to speed up development. AJAX was used to handle all the interactions between the browser and the server when page refreshes were not necessary.
We also integrated an open-source proxy module to allow for anonymous browsing of the RSS news feeds and articles.
