I absolutely hate and despise my employer and want to find out if anyone here has or had the same feelings/ experiences. I actually though about different ways I can get rid of her and I’m a very nice person… I have never been that angry before in my life.
I have been working for this small business for about 3 years now and what supposed to be an administrative assistant position ended up being a hands-on business partnership without the pay increase... FULL STORY»

I chickened out, and didn't quit at the three month mark, which would've been around the end of September. I'm kind of glad I didn't either. Not that anything has changed at my current job, if anything, things have gotten worse. However, this past Wednesday, my recruiter got me an interview for, doing what I want to do Thursday night at 5. It went great, and by Friday morning at 10, I had a firm offer, and best of all, it was for more money than I was asking for... FULL STORY»

I'm a manager for a small retail bussines. I thought I had a great working enviroment. Was I wrong! For several months it was me and one other empolyee. I'm ten years older them the one employee. I thought I had been someone she could talk to and had always been more then ready to help her with some of her problems she has out side of work. I was brought in as a temp worker with a company to help them with processing. The job was only 25 hours a week and I needed a full time job. I talked to the managment about getting hired on full time because I liked the job but the management said they wasn't hiring full time right now.

This manager once was sending an e-mail to the supervisor about a particular employee (I'm not that employee); the e-mail said that the employee had been there long enough to know her job and was still making too many mistakes. I was so sick of working at my old job, that I decided to drink off my rocker during the lunch break. Then I came back shit faced, told the secretary Hey Baby, then went around pointing fingers to everyone saying "F--k You, F--k You, F--k YOU, and F--k You." My 24 year old daughter works at a major pet store. She has been employed ther for almost 2 years. Up untill 2 weeks ago she was her managers shining light. She is one of the fastest rising people in her area having already been promoted 3 times. She went in on her days off if needed,worked crazy shifts,and gave 110%. 2 weeks ago my boss/owner admitted a hospice patient.(Dr. said person had 2-3 months to live.)Current room rate $3k/month with a $2k entry fee. (no-refund, no pro-rate)My boss promised my co-worker and I a raise when the person was admitted. We once had a boss who set up elaborate team building events. We would get together with folks from other departments and make stuff out of other stuff to meet a preset requirement. These could be much fun but you knew you were being graded by management on how well you played with others. Few turned down the chance to participate as there was also a catered lunch included... man slumped forward in his chair. I ran around the bar and
started C.P.R. He was not breathing. We had the hostess call 911. Me and a customer laid him on the floor. I had to force, his mouth open, and see if the was an obstuction.

Work for more than a decade and you experience a lot of horror stories. I went to work for a large medical group. The job was stated in the newspaper as "Community Relations Assistant." I was supposed to handle patient complaints and help people find clinics and doctors. On my first day, they left me alone to answer phones all afternoon. Then after weeks of getting all sorts of phone calls that should have gone to a switchboard, I learned that I WAS THE SWITCHBOARD. No one had told me this. I took about 200 calls a day, only 40 or so for doctor referrals or patient complaints. So I star read full story »
