To the "work at home" guy who keeps calling me at 10 p.m.....

Or are you from Primerica, or maybe Amway? You're not going to win prospects by being rude and waking people up (The rule is "no calls after 9:30 p.m., remember?), nor will you win candidates by getting sarcastic (e.g., responding to my "I'm not interested" with, "Whaddya do? Win the lottery? Money from daddy?")

I'd like a job, but please...I have SOME discretion! Just because I refreshed my resume, or even filled out someone's "paid" survey, does not mean I want to join your spam job! Geez!

I had my resume out there for awhile and was being WOKEN UP by broken english speaking idiot recruiters! They must be on the east coast or something, but get a clue! I am not in any condition to talk to you at 7 am. Oh yeah and if I can't understand your English I DO NOT want you representing me to companies. Are you kidding?

Not necessarily on the east coast, no. I was getting calls from someone speaking heavily (Indian-)accented English, apparently originating from the 248 area code (that's Oakland County, Michigan--suburban Detroit). He was also constantly dropping little bits and pieces of sound (hmm, overloaded VOIP network, anyone?). It was so bad he had to call back later... direct. This time caller ID showed his phone number starting with "91"--the country code for India, according to my phone book. Basically, that may have been someone who doesn't have an exact grip on the time difference...
