My philosophy as of late is; since there's no way to advance and they won't give me more money for dealing with a rude, inconsiderate lazy co-worker/lead, then it's my personal mission to make him crazy.
Case in point; I have a dry erase board on the wall next to me, which I use for memos to myself about to do, days left til vacation, pick winning lotto numbers, and the Quote of the Day. I get a lot of suggestions from my co-workers for quotes, especially as they know I can't stand this "Lead" (neither can they!)Every time he snaps at me, has a tantrum (he's 53!!) or is generally rude, I pick an especially appropriate saying to post. I was thrilled to discover the funny e-mail page here, as it gives me more material! Everytime he whines to the GM, he gets told to lighten up, and that we "need more levity back there". Neener!!!!

Case in point; he snapped at me and another coworker just recently and got written up for it! He's getting quite the paper trail. Pretty soon, I'll have the department to myself!

Update; Looks like he might be job hunting! Joygasm! I wanted a bigger cube anyway.....

No luck; actually he's been really quiet and being moderately decent, but for some reason, it's always a "calm before the storm" with him. It's kinda sad really, that he's that insecure, 'cause sometimes he can be really nice and joking. He's just been such a weenie for so long, I could never trust him not to send me up river. I mean, anyone else could've gone to the labor board with a "hostle work environment" claim & won, w/the amount of stuff he's said/yelled and done. I just figure there's already enough conflict here to get them involved right now. Got bored w/irritating him,i guess, now it's just survival of the fittest.
