Well....the S--T Hit the Fan Today!

We hired some new tech's recently, most of them pretty young (18-21). I was talking with a couple of the new tech's in the office, you know, giving them the ole' doing a great job, blah..blah..blah, keep it up..improve in these areas and they'll go far speech. Right in the middle of my pep talk I hear, "WHAT THE F__K DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING? ARE YOU STUPID?" so-on and so-forth. I stepped out and there was a manager berating one of the newest techs infront of the whole office staff. As soon as this manager (and I use the term very loosley) was finished I walked over and asked what it was all about. This...manager said, "It wasn't any of my f__ing business."
I said that maybe it would be a good idea to take a break, smoke a cig, and then come back and talk with the tech again. I was told to mind my own business.....THATS ALL I COULD STANDS, I COULDN'T STANDS NO MORE. In a loud voice, with the tech in reference about 20 feet away, I said that if I were the tech that was being chastised like a little bi__ch in front of all the people I work with I would have walked out and called the Hour and Labor Commission immediately. Weeelll, into the G.M.'s office we go. You know how it goes..this manager's side of the story...my side of the story..and so on and so on. Into the office steps the District Manager..(that's it...I'm done for...) and proceeded to tell his side of the story since he was standing by the watercooler in the hallway not more than ten feet from the whole incident. You know, I've never knew how comical it is when someone's face just goes pale until today. Somebody get's to go to anger management classes and had a written reprimand put in their file...AN IT AIN'T ME, BRUDDA. Sometimes....just sometimes, there is justice.

By the way..lunch with the G.M. and the D.M. was realllllly good. We went to Bonno's and I hope that you get to read this you schmuck. (General Disclaimer: this is only directed at the jerk with the poor management skill that I GOT IN TROUBLE TODAY) HAAA AHHA HHA HAA HA HHHHAAAA HA HAAA. BIO__CH!

you know what...you stood up for somebody. Took a stance against that donkey's a_s_s punk tool of a manager! Your jobschmob friends are proud. You should be promoted to Lance Corporal or something.

I'm glad you won one for the underdogs, especially someone new to the company and a young tadpole at that. The manager sounds like he/she is on a power-trip. Way to knock him/her off of his/her high-horse!

Congrats - it's great that you stood up for someone else - and that management made the right decision. It's good to hear that sometimes things do go they way they're supposed to. This other idiot manager needs serious help. Hopefully for you (and the rest of the company) this person's days are numbered!
