Maybe I'm a Turkey, too

Here I am at work, on the job, like any normal day.
Most of my cranky co-workers aren't here. Nobody is snapping or frowning. I can get coffee without constantly finding the pot empty.
The phone is a little busy, but not too bad. I have completed all my reports without the usual interruptions and frenzy. Not a tantrum nor snarl.
Could I have gone shopping? Should I have stayed home to clean and do laundry, do errands?
No, I am happy to be here today. Maybe it's a turkey triptopan (sp?) hangover. It's pleasant.
Maybe some of those folks will get lost at the mall for a few extra days. Maybe they will use up their quota of mean comments on other shoppers. Maybe they'll get such great bargains they'll feel more positive by next week.
So I'm a stange bird, but today is gravy.

Now that sounds like a good day at the office...I must admit though, I did enjoy sleeping in on Friday.

Those are the most productive and satisfying days and at the same time they are uplifting and relaxing. Always try to get myself scheduled while the others are fighting the crowds. Some of us love solitude.
