Why are you stalking me?

In 1996, I had the worse -- although, I thought he was a good man at the time -- boss ever. To this day, nothing and I mean nothing has gone right for me on the job front. As a matter of fact, my life has gone seriously downhill since I've known the man. I curse the day I met him. To top it off, he has produced TV programs, and things that have happened to me and in my life have popped up on the tube in one way, shape or form, believe it or not. This has been going on for years, and I don't know how to get him to stop. It's subtle, you know. He has found a grey area to take advantage of me. I think this guy thinks he's like Sherwood Schwartz (the Brady Bunch guy); Sherwood Schwartz used to do something similar by taking events from his own kids lives and weaving them into his shows. I can't prove that this ex-boss is doing this, but I know he is. It seems like the man is trying to drive me literally insane with it, him and his oh-so-powerful connections and ability to produce shows and hurt me like this; or he's just a deranged stalker who won't leave me alone. I seriously think he's a sociopath. I don't know what his problem is. I knew him when I lived in Philadelphia, PA. Why then am I shopping in a Walmart and see him sneaking around the aisles in Jacksonville, FL, carrying a big trash can in front of himself; like, it's a good camouflage or something? Then I see him walking in the parking lot. He walked right passed me and completely empty-handed. I hope he realizes that in the end when he has to stand before God, his oh-so-powerful connections aren't going to mean a thing. I hope he can justify to God why he is doing this to me. (No, you don't have me pegged. You're just a weak spineless coward, by the way, picking on a single divorced woman!) If you visit this website, what the heck is wrong with you, you seriously sick SOB? Why are you stalking me???

Ok Spencer's got to get serious now...in your other posts, you are the same person who believed everyone at work was out to get you and reading what you type---backwards in a rearview mirror. You also think everyone is talking about you at work. These are indications that you are experiencing a form of intense paranoia. This should be discussed with a therapist or doctor. And if what you say is all true, the therapist can help you deal with the stress it causes. Good luck.

Isn't this great, we're all one Happy Schmob Family! We really do care about you! After reading all of our comments, what do you think?

a friend of mine (who passed away about a year ago) had a lady in his neighborhood everyone though was crazy. she claimed that someone was making calls from her house while she was gone. eventually (with no one believing her) she would leave with all the phone cords wrapped around her to stop them. it stopped for awhile and then started again. then one day a neighbor was caught climbing in her window with a cord. he was the one who'd been making the calls, but by then she was mentally damaged from everyone else's disbelief. just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

I know it sounds nuts, but it is perfectly logical that he would be here in Florida, also. The company he owns has offices in both places, Philadelphia & Florida, and I know for a fact that this problem started at his company in '96, when I was there. I met a psychic mindreader friend of his, who writes sitcoms through his company -- besides this ex-boss producing stuff himself. I know for a fact that they're as crooked as they come, and coincidences are one thing -- but when it happens repeatedly over nine years, it's more than a coincidence. I do appreciate all of the advice, though. Thanks!

The cutting edge is: did you know something about this person or their company? We know about one that literally jumps up and down about former employees that "are out to get them". This person has tirelessly called new employers and is out in the middle of the night looking for "spies". He's sick, but rich. Paranoia should be treated, but as the film "Gaslight" reveals, there are equally sick folk out there!
ExBoss(10/02/2005)
I'm stalking you? You're stalking me! I moved to Florida to get away from you!

BTW - Walk the planks, I'm kidding! My joke was probably in poor taste but I wanted to make light of the situation. I have no idea who you are but you seem quite stressed and I think it is adviseable to seek counseling. One of the very first signs of emotional stress is thinking others are "out to get you".

There is one easy way to find out. Use whatever gadget you can get your hands on and video tape what you see. Then review it with a friend and draw the right conclusions.
ummmm....okay(10/15/2005)
so, you think someone is following you? well, you are entitled (and I am now taking the risk of sounding like a straight donkey) BUT next time something of this nature befalls you, you might want to think twice about posting it on a message board because you just became good humor for the lot of us...sorry.

Once a victim has experienced a stalker hyper vigilance kicks in. It takes some time to shake the feeling of always being watched. Anybody who looks like the stalker will bring back that weird memory. Let's just say I have met some nosy people. My suggestion of taping your surroundings were given as an honest suggestion to a somewhat complicated situation.

Have you seen "A Beautiful Mind"? Perhaps the guy that you saw at Wal- Mart was like the soldiers in the movie-nonexistent!
Mental Health Addict (09/29/2005)
Ok... something is very wrong here. Option #1 is you are correct and you have a stalker. In which case, Have you contacted the authorities? Are you certain it is him? Option #2 is you are mistaken. Many lives have similar circumstances which can show up on a tv program. I had a cousin who kept hearing her name being called out on a hospital intercom. She spoke to her doctor about it. Her condition was easily treated with medication. I am not making fun of your situation. The thing that concerns me is the distance between Philly and Florida. Bring someone else inside this situation. Perhaps you need the input of someone else. I'd suggest a clergyman, a good friend or a physician. I wish you luck.

Call your physician at once. The stress you are experiencing may have serious consequences. Call him/her today!

WalkThePlanks... Think about this, why would one person move from PA to Florida...and somehow use your life in scripts? Logically it makes no sense! I know that somehow in your mind all of what you said appears valid but the rest of us are imploring you to get help! My company once had a new employee who suddenly began making claims IDENTICAL to what you said. She claimed someone had been stalking her from job to job...though she could not identify him...and even called the police to our place of employment to arrest someone she could not identify! We got her help and all went well. Please get help and keep us informed. http://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/depres.html
