I just finished working on an ONLINE APPLICATION for Equinox that has taken me at least ---- at least ----- two hours to fill out.
After carefully filling out this monstrosity and making sure to cross the "t's" and dot the "i's", there was one section that I thought I'd skip: social security number.
Shouldn't this come after an interview or if they feel they want anything further to do with me?
I hit the submit button, and it the system would not accept the application without the SSN. I am LIVID! Why do they need my social security number if they haven't even SEEN me walk through the door! What are they planning on doing with my number. I refuse to insert this online. I also have a problem with giving it up at the actual interview --- especially when I have not been interviewed!!!!!
Why must I GIVE up my SSN online where identity theft runs rampant? And if the companies think me and my resume is a piece of sh*t, then what happens with the submitted application? You can't shred digital and the delete button never deletes!
These applications contain VITAL information about the candidate --- why would a sales company like Equinox or any other turn a blind eye to this ripe plum of information???
I've wasted TWO HOURS of my morning!
BURNING HOT!
