I have been working at the job for 3 1/2yrs...Followed all the rules...Got my work done...Never got called into a boss' office...I worked based on a salary, 50 hrs a week, NO LUNCH BREAK!! NO O.T.PAY!!

So I went ahead and sought another job, was hired on the first interview. I spoke to my boss about it and told him they offered me more $ for less hours (which is true). He spoke to the owner of the company, and he agreed to pay me $37,500 year. I declined and agreed to stay only if I got paid $40k...The owner agreed, BUT ONLY if I agreed to come in 30 min earlier...so now I wouldve worked from 7am-5pm...Again, with NO LUNCH BREAK or O.T. I accepted, and declined the other job offer, BUT fortunately the person who interviewed me accepted to match what my current employer gave me to keep me and I took FULL advantage of it!

I gave 3 1/2yrs without complaints...loyalty...and yet an Employer who does not know how I work offers me more than the one I have been with for a couple of years. Sad!

No Lunch Break? I don't understand, did you have to "punch out" for lunch or were you not even allowed to eat lunch? I'm glad you took the new job, your old boss was scamming you by "boosting" your pay if you worked more hours.

Red - So she is a salary worker yet had no lunch break? Somewhere some laws must be getting broken..

She probably had a "lunch break" but like most of us these days did not have time to actually take one.
