Now that's quitting!

I worked at a hobby store from '99-'01 with a friend of mine named John. The owner was a scumbag cheapskate racist. My friend got a call from his soon to be wife to tell him that the doctor might think she has CANCER!! John called the owner and said he needed to leave. This prick told him if he did he was fired. John walked out. The owner didn't hold him to the firing (he was spinless wimp)and thought he would come back. John came in on that payday:

John: where's my check?
Owner: How is rachael (the soon to be wife)?
John: F*** You.
Owner: stuttering tyring to apologize.
Jogn: F*** you. check. now. (monotone)
(gets check and throws store key at owner hitting him in the nose and leaves)
The owner was so scared of retribution he got his friend's sons to escort him to the car that night. I quit a month later.
