I went to work for a company called Vendomatic Inc 1844 brookfield court frederick Maryland 21717 www.vendomatic.com
is the director over human resources, She never told me nor did she ask me about my credit, But I order a copy of my report once a year and noticed a company name guaranty mortgage ordered my report A/K/A credit profile nationwide owner .
I found out that the HR director sent my SS number and info to this company to order my report without my written signed consent.
Also my job was going to soon be cut by the company but they weren't telling anyone so thats why they were paying my health Insurance premiums. My job ended 12/02/2005 because they were acting hostile against me.
The HR director called me and told me to turn in all of my stuff along with a letter signed stating I quit.
She and my supervisor told me they weren't going to pay me because I didn't give them this letter I have a witness who heard my supervisor state this.
After contacting her about my check she said they found an error were they wasn't taking out my insurance premiums and I would not get paid.
My final check suppose to have been paid on 12/16/05 and its now 03/04/06 and I still haven't receive a check or anything from them.

Please do not use personal information on this site. I would, however contact the Hour and Labor commission. It is unlawful for an employer to withhold earnings, for any reason, without your consent.

Call the company and demand your final check. If they hem and haw, tell them that you are going to notify the Better Business Bureau, write letters to the local newspapers about what they are doing to you, call the local news stations -- or hit them where it hurts. Call some or all of their top clients -- if you have names and access to that information -- and tell their clients about what they have done to you and about how they are so bad and handling their internal budget that they are denying you your last paycheck because of an error on their part. Potentially losing a client or maybe messing up some of their business deals should cover -- and then some -- of what was due to you on your last paycheck. The company will end up eating the final cost. You can see to that. You don't have to take that sh** from them!

I would contact your local labor rights government agency. I'd also document everything as quickly as possible, and try to get a written statement from your witness. Best of luck to you!

Remember layoff is payoff, withholding your check is illegal, and so is asking you to sign false statements, contact your local states attorney!!!

I agree with Redstapler. Do what you can to document this, then find an attorney. I am SO SICK of these companies thinking that they can get away with this crap. If it did not work out, it did not work out, OK. Why do they have to make your life a living hell on top of it? If you worked, they owe you. Period.
