A Porcupine Ate My Car

It's snowing here...has been for about 2 weeks, lots of salt on the roads. When I heard someone's car wouldn't start and had to be towed because a porcupine ate the cables to the engine, I thought,"Creative".
So I tell my coworkers, and they laughed for two days.
I tell the guy at the garage that came out to pump gas in the cold, and he said, "Happens more than you think."
As it turns out, this is true: many deer hunters and rural area dwellers experience this peculiar event with great regularity. Porcupines eat salty items...ANY salty items.
The road crews know it, the State police know it, and the garage mechanics know it.
Be careful where you put your car if you take a scenic drive this winter.
Some critter may decide your motor looks too yummy to ignore.
