Business Hours

Our business hours are from 9 AM - 5 PM EST, Monday - Friday.

Browser Compatibility and Screen Resolution

Hulaweb will design your website for a screen resolution of 1028 x 768, since it is the most common screen resolution of Internet users. We will also design your website to be functional in and compatible with Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Firefox 2. When a website works and displays correctly in those two browsers, it usually works the same in smaller browsers and with mobile devices that render HTML such as the iPhone. However, if you need your site to work specifically in one of the other browsers on the market or a mobile browser, please let us know up front.

Please see our browser compatibility page for questions on browser compatibility or browser market share: Web Browser Compatibility

Estimates and Additional Costs

The work estimate we provided to you was based on the initial requirements presented to us. We know and understand that oftentimes plans change and that new ideas arise as a website is being built. Should any requirements change, any extra work needed is billed at our hourly rate. Should they change dramatically or change in a way that would alter the fundamental design of the site's layout or technical code, a new estimate will need to be issued and signed.

Third Party Vendors, Company Employees and Other Contractors

We know that sometimes creating a website is a big project and involves more folks than just the client and Hulaweb. This can include photographers, logo designers, marketing companies, technical writers, printers, outside contractors, or even your own company's IT people or other employees. For many reasons, including liability and the desire to avoiding speaking on your behalf, it is our policy that we do not work directly with anyone but our client or a designated point of contact for the project. Should you need an exception, such as to work with a technical person at your company or to train employees on a website or system, please let us know ahead of time so that we can accommodate this in the estimate or invoice and arrange for proper client authorization.

Content/Copy

For liability reasons, all text/copy for a website must be provided by the customer. Hulaweb does not provide, write, or edit copy on a website. When you provide us copy, we will upload it to your site unedited. We cannot be responsible for misspellings, mistakes, grammatical errors or legal policy and disclaimer documents.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Hulaweb always builds sites with an eye on the basics of search engine optimization and we will build your site in a way that provides a good foundation for further optimization. However, Search Engine Optimization past the basic foundation is a an additional add-on service that Hulaweb provides. Please see the following link for our SEO service: Search Engine Optimization Service

The basics of SEO include the following:

  • Page titles (Site name + page title)
  • Image ALT tags
  • Meta keywords
  • Meta description for home page

Technical Support Information

There may be a time where you need technical support for your website. We encourage our customers to test their websites both before and after launch. This allows all bugs to be caught and fixed right away. Please note that if a problem is reported during the first two weeks after rollout, and is a result of a developmental error on the part of Hulaweb, the problems will be fixed for free. If they occur or are reported after the two-week time period, we offer technical support during business hours (9 - 5 EST) at our hourly rate. Unfortunately, we cannot warranty our work indefinitely to work under all circumstances and in future versions of browsers or operating systems, as browsers and operating systems change and we cannot predict how these changes may affect a website's functionality or display. However, should a problem occur, we are available for technical support at our hourly rate.

Third Party Software, Payment Gateways and Affiliate Programs

It is your responsibility as the website owner to make sure that all third party software licenses and program policies are being followed on your website. For eCommerce projects, this includes any order fulfillment process and any buyer communication. Please become familiar with the policies as a violation could result in being terminated or suspended from the program. It is also your responsibility as the site owner to stay up-to-date with any software upgrades or security updates. If you would like to task Hulaweb with these updates, please let us know ahead of time so that we can arrange for a software maintenance contract with your company.

Third Party Software includes any software not developed by Hulaweb such as Content Mangement, Photo Gallery and eCommerce solutions. Payment Gateways include programs like Google Checkout, PayPal and Authorize.Net. Affiliate Programs include Internet marketing programs and revenue generating programs such as AdWords, AdSense and Amazon.com Associates.

Enhancements or Modifications to Your Website

After your site is live, you may want to update your website, add features or upgrade any software your website is using. Hulaweb would be happy to assist you in modifications or enhancements to your website. Please contact us through our website or email.

Business Relationship

Both the client and Hulaweb have the right to terminate the business relationship at any time. If this occurs, we will promptly settle any outstanding work, charges or payment refunds.
