Frequently Asked Questions
To help you make your decision and feel comfortable working with us, we've put together a list of questions that we often get asked.
What makes Hulaweb any different from other web companies?
Well, for starters, we like to think we care more than most. We love what we do and we don't just crank out work. We are detail-oriented and we don't cut corners. We're smart, competent workers who take pride in our work and have the customer testimonials to stand behind that fact.
While we have years and years of experience working with websites as employees for other companies, we have a greater amount of experience running websites of our own. And because we run our own websites, we consistently study the industry, attend conferences and regularly learn what works and what doesn't. This allows us to bring our personal knowledge and experiences to the table when assisting our clients.
And of course, the best part about Hulaweb is that we're small. Since we're doing all the work ourselves and not hiring contractors or paying extra staff, we're able to keep our prices highly competitive.
I need a website for my business or blog, but where do I start?
Whether you know exactly what you want or need some help figuring it out, we can get the job done. Just like with any project, sometimes you know exactly what you want and sometimes you need some suggestions or just a point in the right direction. Doing this as long as we have been, we know this and know the right kinds of questions to ask to help get the wheels turning. If you're a local customer, we'd be happy to meet with you and discuss your project. If you're a long-distance customer, we'll be happy to call you and talk it over.
Our customers have told us that we have a unique ability to bring to life exactly what they described and even what they didn't know how to describe. This makes us pretty proud.
How does the whole process work?
We start by talking to you to determine what type of work you need. Once we get the details from you and have a good understanding of what your project will entail, we'll provide you with a work estimate. If you agree to the estimate, you'll let us know and we'll send you an agreement to sign. A signed work agreement is needed to begin work and on larger projects, a deposit is required in advance. If your project requires a logo or site design, we'll send you mockups for you to review. Once the mockups are approved by you, we'll begin building your website.
While your website is being developed, we host your site on our Hulaweb development server. We will send you the link to your site so that you can monitor the progress and test as needed. When it is ready, we'll then move the site out to your web hosting account.
What if I need updates to my site in the future?
Most sites evolve as time goes by. At the very least, your address might change, photos might need to be updated or the text might need to be brought up-to-date. We can easily take care of this for you. If you need a site that you're able to regularly update, let us know and we'll install a content management system for your website.
We build all of our sites with an eye on the future and do our best to make sure that your site has room to grow.
Do you provide technical support?
Yes. You are our customer and we understand that your business oftentimes relies on your website. To that end, if you need technical support we will be happy to assist you. Please be aware, however, that if another developer or company performs work on your website in addition to Hulaweb, our technical support rates increase by 50%.
At this time, we offer "by the hour" support during business hours. If you need support outside of business hours, holiday/after hours/weekend rates apply.
