Cheap Little Dolly Gets a Big Promotion

A few months ago, I told you about Little Dolly, a young woman with a questionable past and a rap sheet who seems to get everything she wants at work. Well, now she got a promotion to a new management position. She has no qualifications for it, so no one can figure out how she will be able to do it. The older woman Dolly was harassing last winter left the company, but she actually had the background and skills for the job. I heard but do not know if it is true, that Older Worker inquired about it and was told it was too technical for her skillset. I didn't apply for it, but I certainly have more skills than Dolly.
The only thing the rest of us can figure out is that Dolly is involved with her boss, who has something on the president.

This from Bullyonline.org should shed a little light on this:
If the bully is a male in a senior position, he is often sleeping with a secretary or office administrator, as this is where he gets his information and where he spreads his disinformation. Sometimes the female junior can be identified by her reward, eg being the only person allowed to hold the keys of the stock cupboard (everyone has to grovel to her if they want a new pen), or being put in charge of the office in the bully's absence when there are others who are senior to her who would make more appropriate deputies.
Most serial bullies have unhappy and unsatisfactory private lives which are characterised by a string of broken relationships. If you are the current target of a serial bully and taking legal action, a little digging into the bully's past, including their personal life, will usually unearth some unsavoury facts that the bully would prefer not to be made public
Eventually, Li'l Dolly Lollypop will get hers. Meanwhile, do what you have to do to get what you want out of the situation!

WB I reviewed your entries about Dolly to be sure.
Assuming that Dolly is out of your hair after being promoted and hopefully someone else's problem. Let It Go.
Easier said then done, after what she did, I agree. Management was supporting her, to get rid of the older worker. This is the way it's done. We see it every day.
