All in a @#$% day's work

One day I went to work and there were 20 taxis lined up outside. Then there was the time the front-end loader had to sit directly in the line of the front doors for a couple of months. And of course, there was the contractor who lost it and had way too much authority when they fired him. After a corporate-wide email ranting on the prejudices against black men and an all-team effort to "get that email back", he sat in his apartment, holding the laptop hostage that they forgot he still had. They actually got the FBI involved.
Hard feelings? I learned to get over it but you eventually just tire out and lose your interest in the whole game. They sold us out to college grads who knew Smalltalk, then Indians, British managers and now Canadians. You know it's time to go when can no longer work up anger at the situation. In five years, will this company be here? Or perhaps that's what this is all about. It's much easier to sell a book of business when you don't have to pay for the lay-offs.
